According to the information gathered by mining-techology.com, An AngloGold Ashanti worker in Obuasi, Ghana who recently returned from the UK, has tested positive for the Coronavirus.
AngloGold Ashanti was established in 2004 and is the third-largest gold mining company in the world. The company currently has over 62,400 employees.
The AngloGold worker infected with the Covid-19 virus is currently in self-isolation according to staff. The company also told the press they are working with the ministry of heath to trace all the individuals the infected victim has been in contact with.
