George Floyd’s Memorial Service Held in Ghana

The Ghana Ministry of Tourism (GTA) paid tribute to the late George Floyd by holding a memorial service in Ghana. The memorial was held at the W.E.B Dubois Center where they laid a wreath in solidarity and demanded justice for the murder of George Floyd. George Floyd was a 46-year-old black man who was killed during an arrest in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Ghana Year of Return Committee in partnership with the African Union of Diaspora came together to empathize with fellow black brothers and sisters suffering from the effects of racism in the U.S and all over the world.
