Ghana Celebrates 64th Independence Day
Ghana turns 64 today. On 6th March 1957, Ghana was the first sub-Saharan country to gain independence, under the leadership of Kwame Nkrumah.
Every 6th March in Ghana is a holiday, If March 6th falls on a weekend, the following Monday will be observed as a holiday.
