US$10 million worth of suspected Cocaine seized at Tema Port
Personnel of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) and National Security agents at Tema Port have found and held onto a 40-footer container of rice and sugar which had a 100-kilogram bundle in it associated to be a pack with cocaine.
The street value of the fine substance is pegged at US$10 million.
The suspected container was one of more than 50 transferred to Taj, an organization that imports rice and sugar in enormous amounts to Ghana. The transfer was allocated to Global Cargo and Commodities Ltd, a local clearing agent of shipments to Ghana.
