What is Global Citizen Festival?
One of the main goals of Global Citizen is to alleviate severe poverty around the world, and it has amassed a big and active membership base. Actions taken on a daily basis by millions of Global Citizens around the world are the driving force behind long-term progress in the areas of sustainability, equality, and humanism.
Together, individuals, government officials, corporations, philanthropists, and artists can make a difference in people’s lives. Over 30.4% of the world’s population has taken action since 2009. More than $41.4 billion has been distributed to our partners around the world as a result of these initiatives and high-level advocacy work, positively affecting the lives of 1.15 billion people in the battle to eradicate extreme poverty.
