Independence Square, Black Star Square
Black Star Square, also called Independence Square, is a public square in Accra, Ghana, lined with the Accra Sports Arena and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. The square frequently has the yearly independence festivities just as other public occasions. It is right now the site for all metro and military motorcades in Ghana. It was completed in the year 1961, which harmonized with the state visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ghana.
