How to link NHIS to Ghana Card

The NHIA (National Health Insurance Authority) has collaborated with the National Identification Authority (NIA) to enable all residents living in Ghana to utilize one card for healthcare access.

With that being said, the NHIA has therefore intensified its campaigns and encourages holders of the NHIS and Ghana cards to merge the two in line with the “One nation, one card for healthcare service,” agenda.

The NHIA requires all persons who are yet to do the merger to still use their NHIS cards for healthcare service, as they work towards replacing the NHIS cards with the Ghana card for accessing healthcare.

All persons under the ages of 15 years who are yet to receive the Ghana card are exempted from this activity to ensure that no vulnerable person is left behind, including pregnant women.
